Los Espinos Merlot
The well-tended vineyards around the winery in Rauco, Curico are where our Merlot is nurtured. With a distinct difference between day and night temperatures, the grapes ripen slowly to ensure maximum flavour.
Harvested in the cool of the early morning, the fruit has a cold soak to extract aromas and flavour before tannin and alcohol. A cool fermentation maintains the fresh, vibrant fruit character. Pressed then aged on oak to ensure a soft, velvety yet vibrant expression of Merlot.
The aromas of fresh blackberries with hints of spice and vanilla are followed by a plush, well balanced palate of ripe, succulent black fruits with subtle notes of liquorice and clove.
